Spider plant brown tips — switched to distilled water, fixed in 3 weeks
My spider plant had brown tips on 80% of leaves. Thought it was underwatering. Watered more, tips kept browning. Read that spider plants are sensitive to fluoride in tap water. Switched to distilled water. 3 weeks later, new growth has zero brown tips. Old brown tips didn't recover, but I trimmed them off.
If your spider plant has brown tips and you're using tap water, try distilled or rainwater. Fluoride accumulation is a common cause. Don't make the same mistake I did — more water won't fix it.
